Guest Room Attendant – Homewood Suites Downtown Austin

We are hiring Guest Room Attendants to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in our guest rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment for our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Clean assigned guest rooms and stock supplies according to quality and timeliness standards: pick up trash, change linens, make beds, thoroughly clean bathrooms, vacuum and dust rooms, wash windows and balconies when applicable.
  • Respond to guest inquiries courteously and resolve issues promptly; report lost or missing items to guests.
  • Report unsafe, broken, or missing furnishings, equipment, or fixtures to the Executive Housekeeper or Shift Supervisor.
  • Maintain required inventory on the housekeeping cart; order or obtain supplies as needed.
  • Assist in the Laundry Department as requested.
  • Perform deep cleaning projects and daily special projects as assigned.
  • Carry out other duties assigned by management.
Job Specifications
  • Familiarity with safety and security procedures and ability to operate commercial housekeeping equipment safely.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions for housekeeping tasks.
  • Good command of English; proficiency in a second language desirable.
  • Excellent time‑management skills with ability to multi‑task and prioritize work.
  • Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Team‑player with ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow corporate and brand standards and procedures.
Work Environment

This role operates in a hotel setting, utilizing standard housekeeping equipment and frequent exposure to commercial and household cleaning chemicals. The position is performed indoors.

Education

High School Diploma / GED or better.
