Responsibilities
- Complete all tasks related to the set‑up, service, and breakdown of banquet events.
- Attend pre‑shift meetings to learn event details, including property and guest expectations.
- Collect and transport all supplies needed for event set‑up, including china, glass, silver, linen, tables, chairs, décor, and props.
- Set‑up and break down tables, chairs, buffets, linen, and props as specified by the Banquet Event Order.
- Respond to and fulfill special event arrangements and guest service needs according to 1 Hotels standards.
- Stock and maintain linen, china, silver, glassware, and service supplies in good condition.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet function space, performing vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, polishing, and mopping as required.
- Retrieve, store, and retrieve event materials, décor, props, crates, and boxes, ensuring secure storage and proper handling.
- Maintain all event equipment, chairs, tables, podiums, and other assets, and report all breakage incidents.
- Return service carts and other equipment to proper locations after use.
- Perform post‑event cleaning tasks and breakdown of service, ensuring the event room is clean and neat before departure.
- Assist with room turns and set‑up for subsequent events.
- Input real‑time work orders via KYC for any guest concerns or opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to optimize performance, encourage innovation, and drive necessary change.
- Establish and maintain open, positive, collaborative, and professional relationships with guests, colleagues, and leadership.
- Follow all company safety and security policies, report hazards or incidents, and complete required safety training and certifications.
- Prior serving experience.
- Organized, proficient at multitasking, and a reliable team player willing to learn and adapt.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Proficient in verbal and written English communication.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Food handling certification (obtainable during employment).
