Amenities Attendant
The Amenities Attendant is responsible for the general supervision of an amenity floor in a luxury apartment building in downtown Austin, TX. This includes the fitness center, spa/wellness space, outdoor pool and indoor lounge and club room. This is a part time position, 16-24 hours per week between the hours of 6am and 10pm. First shift is 6am - 2pm, second shift is 2pm-10pm.
Great opportunity for a Summer job- close to UT campus. Flexibility within scheduled shift times.
Responsibilities:
- Sets-up, maintains and cleans fitness equipment
- Tends to fitness and spa towel service
- Tends to pool and fitness towel service
- Maintains spa cold plunges
- Tends to espresso machines
- Straightens pool furniture
- Welcomes guests, explains programs and activities in building
- Reports and resolves complaints
- Maintains attendance records and ensures rules and regulations are enforced in a tactful manner
- Is timely and punctual when reporting to work.
- Attend all scheduled training and meetings as required.
- Ensure the desk and surrounding area is safe, clean and orderly.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- At least 6 months of experience working in a hospitality or recreation venue.
- A strong work ethic
- Must exhibit organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently, ability to show initiative and make decisions
- Excellent customer service skills
- Professional manner, discretion, and appearance
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards job and facility.
- Must be able to troubleshoot and anticipate problems.
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Awareness of proper body mechanics to prevent injury
- This position required the ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, walk, and talk
- The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Normal work hours: varied to include nights, weekends, and holidays
