Sage Hospitality Group will hire an On-Call Banquet Houseperson for the Hotel Van Zandt in Austin, Texas!

The purpose of the position is to set up, maintain, and update the hotel's meeting rooms in accordance with the contract of sale and company standards.
Responsibilities- Ensure the cleanliness of banquet and meeting rooms.
- Ensure that all banquet and meeting rooms are properly configured in a timely manner, so that banquet service staff can prepare for functions.
- Assist banquet employees during functions.
- Responsible for putting everything back in place after the event is completed.
- Ensure that all rooms have water.
Education/Formal Training
No formal education required.
Experience
Previous experience in the banquet area is desirable.
Knowledge/Skills
- Minimum literacy needed; can use alternative training tools.
Physical Demands

- Ability to communicate with customers, other associates, and supervisor.
- Ability to meet appearance standards.
- Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds.
- Mobility: ability to reach all areas of responsibility which includes shelves, windows, ledges, pipes, under and around furniture.
- Standing: standing and/or walking continuously to accomplish all that is required for the position.
- Stair climbing—approximately 40 steps 15% of 40 weekly hours.
- Driving not required.
Work Environment
Inside 80% of 8 hours.
