Position: Bar Manager | Arrive Austin

WHO WE ARE:

Palisociety is a society of unique hotels and residences — Palihouse, Palihotel, Le Petit Pali, ARRIVE by Palisociety, and a growing collection of independently branded properties. Since our first hotel opened in Los Angeles in 2009, we've grown into a nationwide portfolio of neighborhood-centric hotels, restaurants, bars, and event spaces, earning recognition from Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, the New York Times, and more.

We consider our employees our greatest asset: structured training from day one, consistent feedback, and a clear path for growth. We develop our leaders from within, because the strongest hospitality companies are the ones that grow their own.

ABOUT ARRIVE AUSTIN:

Located in the heart of East Austin, ARRIVE Austin is the perfect neighborhood hotel for guests looking for a blend of modern luxury, local authenticity, and friendly hospitality. With meticulously designed rooms and three distinct dining outlets, ARRIVE Austin welcomes travelers and locals alike.

ABOUT LEFTY'S DAY & NIGHT:

Located at ARRIVE Austin, Lefty's Day & Night is East Austin's best neighborhood patio bar — everyone's favorite place no matter what time it is, offering coffee, drinks, and tasty food morning, noon, or night.

POSITION PROFILE:

The Bar Manager leads Lefty's Day & Night as its on-site venue leader — managing the bar, programming, events, and activations, while also leading the bar program across both Lefty's and Kalimotxo. You'll own Lefty's front-of-house floor, service, and administrative operations, executing and upholding bar program standards, quality, and consistency in partnership with the Bar Director.

You're responsible for bar inventory and ordering, staff education across both bars, and the selection, development, and performance management of bar employees. You'll directly lead the Lefty's FOH hourly team, drive bar revenue, help control beverage COGS against budget, and cross-train on the F&B Manager's duties to ensure coverage.

THE TASK AT HAND:
  • Oversee bar setup and breakdown, daily side work, and shift staffing, personally leading shifts at Lefty's and across both bars — holding line-ups, side work, and service flow to standard.
  • Manage all of Lefty's operations and the bar program across both venues — organization, ordering, inventory, cleanliness, and staff education.
  • Maintain the bartender staffing plan, participating in hiring, onboarding, and training, and developing bar employees through ongoing feedback.
  • Track bar sales and cost on labor, liquor, N/A, and beer; manage daily cash flow, deposits, and pars; perform month-end inventories with variance commentary for the F&B Manager.
  • Manage TABC and food handler certification tracking for all FOH staff.
  • Partner with Palisociety, ERHG, and the Events/Sales & Marketing teams on closures, collaborations, new menus, and revenue-driving events and activations.
  • Manage weekly payroll, clock-ins, and the tip pool.
  • Uphold Palisociety's and ERHG's image and standards at all times, fostering a positive, motivated FOH team environment.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Required
  • Minimum 2 years of F& B/Bar leadership experience, ideally across multiple bars or high-volume operations, with menu and cocktail development.
  • Ability to execute a bar program with a strong point of view on standards and command of inventory, cost, and beverage COGS management.
  • Self-discipline, initiative, and leadership ability, with a pleasant, approachable nature and strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of TABC, health department, and food safety standards.
  • Serv Safe Manager and TABC certified, or able to obtain.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical

Mobility required, with bending, reaching, stooping, twisting, and the ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, working safely in active restaurant, bar, and event environments.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:
  • Competitive compensation package with medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus 401(k).
  • Paid time off, holiday pay, and sick pay.
  • Career advancement and professional development as we open new hotels and restaurants nationwide.
  • Employee discounts across our entire portfolio (25 hotels and more to come!).
