Position SummaryHosts create the first and last impression of every guest experience. Through warmth, genuine hospitality, and thoughtful attention to detail, they welcome every guest while setting the tone for an experience that feels welcoming, natural, and memorable. Reports to the General Manager.
Job Responsibilities- Welcome every guest with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.
- Manage reservations, waitlists, seating, and guest flow with confidence and thoughtful attention to detail.
- Create a welcoming arrival and departure experience for every guest.
- Communicate clearly and work collaboratively with Captains, Bartenders, managers, and teammates.
- Support dining room operations wherever needed.
- Maintain proficiency in the restaurant's reservation system and service standards.
- Complete all required education and assessments.
- Represent Emmer & Rye with warmth, curiosity, professionalism, and genuine care.
- Hospitality, customer service, or restaurant experience preferred.
- Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain organized and composed in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout each shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive motion.
- Ability to work safely around hot surfaces, sharp objects, and wet floors.
- $8/hr + tips
