We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Responsibilities
Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance as neededRedirect HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the teamMaintain timely records of personnel-related data (payroll, benefits, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are metAct as a liaison with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits etc.)Responsible for the day-to-day employee requests as they relate to benefits or policySupport the recruitment/hiring process by posting Job Requisition s, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment offer letters, etc.Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events etc. and maintain the team’s agendaImplement training sessions and seminarsAssist in performing new hire orientationsResponsible for the onboarding process and updating new hire recordsRespond to initial unemployment claims and verification of earnings
Coordinate and facilitate benefit enrollment meetingsRespond to verifications of employmentReview insurance carrier invoices for accuracyAssist in recommending and supporting employee relations programsAssist in ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedbackMaintain “open door” communication with employeesAdhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructionsBe familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirementsAttend relevant meetingsCompetencies
High school diploma or equivalent;
Associate's or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience preferred.Bi/Multi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferredKnowledge of human resources processes and best practicesStrong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems (e.g. Dayforce)Ability to work with ATS softwareIn-depth understanding of sourcing tools, like resume databases and online communitiesOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to handle data with confidentialityExcellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English LanguageExcellent organizational and time management skillsExcellent attention to detailAbility to multitaskWork well under pressure, requires being a team playerCompensation & Benefits
