Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on HR Specialist to support day-to-day human resources functions. This role will support recruiting, compensation, training and development, employee relations, and HR compliance while contributing to the company’s continued growth.

The HR Specialist will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to help build scalable people processes, strengthen organizational capability, and support a positive and high-performing culture aligned with company values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support leadership in reviewing and optimizing the organization structure to ensure roles, reporting lines, and responsibilities are aligned with business needs.
  • Assist in evaluating workforce allocation and headcount planning to ensure the structure remains efficient and scalable.
  • Provide data and HR insights to help validate whether current organizational design supports company growth and operational goals.
  • Support full-cycle recruitment across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and corporate roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and workforce planning needs.
  • Help standardize interview processes and improve candidate experience.
  • Manage onboarding processes to ensure smooth employee integration.
  • Support the development and administration of compensation structures aligned with market benchmarks and company strategy.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and assist in maintaining internal equity.
  • Oversee benefits administration including health insurance, retirement plans, and vendor coordination.
  • Collaborate with finance to support accurate payroll processing.
Training & Development
  • Support onboarding programs and required compliance training initiatives.
  • Assist in performance management processes including goal setting and annual reviews.
  • Help identify organizational skill gaps and coordinate development programs.
  • Support leadership development and succession planning efforts.
Culture & Compliance
  • Support employee engagement activities, company events, and team celebrations to strengthen workplace culture.
  • Promote employee recognition initiatives and encourage cross-team collaboration.
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations matters.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain and update employee handbook, policies, and internal procedures.
  • Handle sensitive workplace matters with professionalism and discretion.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of progressive HR experience, including recruiting and compensation support. Experience supporting growth-stage organizations preferred.
  • HR Knowledge: Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and HR compliance requirements.
  • Communication & Leadership: Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
  • Experience in medical device, manufacturing, robotics, or technology industries.
  • Experience building HR processes in a startup or scale-up environment.
  • Familiarity with HR analytics and workforce planning tools.
