We are a national landscape maintenance company seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage payroll operations, benefits enrollments, and federal compliance processes. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, conducting internal I-9 audits, supporting new hire onboarding, and reviewing and approving 1095 forms.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-driven, and experienced in payroll administration—preferably with Paycom experience.
This will be an in-person position and we are taking applications from candidates that can work in our corporate headquarters in Austin, TX or at our office in Tulsa, OK. Only one candidate will be selected.
Key Responsibilities- Process payroll accurately and on time using Paycom
- Oversee and manage the full payroll process
- Conduct internal I-9 audits and ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Manage benefit enrollments and support open enrollment activities
- Support new hire onboarding, including payroll and compliance setup
- Review and approve 1095 forms for ACA reporting
- Develop, document, and improve payroll and HR compliance processes
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and company payroll and employment policies
- Partner with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and improve workflows

Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience (multi-state preferred)
- Strong knowledge of I-9 compliance and employment eligibility regulations
- Experience with benefits enrollments and ACA reporting (1095 review)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to create and document processes and improve workflows
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience in HRIS/payroll system administration (Paycom preferred)
- Process improvement or SOP development experience
- Knowledge of federal and state payroll and labor laws
