Reporting to the North American Director of Recruiting, the primary duties of the Regional Recruiting Director are to lead the recruitment efforts within the South Central region (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas). Responsibilities include leading a team of recruiters, measuring recruitment results, and partnering with regional leadership.

- Operate a full recruitment desk with dedicated internal customers.
- Supervise and lead onboarding of Area, Senior, and Entry‑Level recruiters.
- Partner with operational and business group leadership to drive talent acquisition strategy and align recruitment resources to business needs.
- Conduct routine in‑person meetings and monthly check‑ins to provide recruitment metrics.
- Prioritize top roles within the region consistently.
- Develop, train, and mentor recruiters; act as a daily escalation point for recruiter questions.
- Ensure effective use of tools (OMS/JAX, Linked In, Zoom Info) and develop sourcing strategies.
- Balance recruiter workloads within the region and collaborate with other Regional Recruiting Directors to promote workshare.
- Drive effective university relationships with top universities in the region, identifying university champions to promote the HDR brand.
- Foster team atmosphere, establish coverage plans when recruiters are away, and conduct regional team catch‑ups and one‑on‑ones with direct reports.
- Participate in the selection of new recruiters.
- Meet recruiting metrics, KPIs, and quality assurance targets (time to fill, offers made, acceptance rates).
- Continuously assess and recommend enhancements to talent acquisition strategies (technology, staffing, structure).
- Lead diversity recruitment efforts and partner with dedicated diversity resources to drive hiring results.
- Present talent acquisition strategies and tactics to recruiters and hiring managers, providing training where necessary.
- Extract, analyze, and act on data supporting talent acquisition strategies.
- Collaborate with HR in the region to contribute meaningfully to the employee lifecycle.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive recruitment experience within the region.
- Previous experience leading recruiters as a supervisor or mentor.
- Expert knowledge of recruitment technologies and strategies.
- Strong communication skills across interpersonal, written, and presentation areas.
- Proven ability to partner with senior leadership.
- Bachelor's degree.
- AEC industry experience.
- Residence within or willingness to relocate to the defined region.
