What to Expect
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Immigration Specialist to join our in-house Legal Team in Austin, TX. This role focuses on establishing and managing employment-based immigration processes, with a primary emphasis on PERM labor certification for green card sponsorship and a wide range of non-immigrant visas (H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, etc.). The ideal candidate excels in a fast-paced corporate environment, possesses deep expertise in business immigration, and is dedicated to supporting talent acquisition and retention through efficient and compliant immigration solutions.
Whatyou'll do
- Analyze and optimize the existing PERM lifecycle to increase efficiency while ensuring full compliance.
- Coordinate with hiring managers, recruiters, and external vendors on PERM processes and non-immigrant visa cases.
- Track and manage timelines for PERM filings, I-140 petitions, and Adjustment of Status (AOS) or consular processing.
- Oversee visa maintenance, including timely extensions, amendments, and change of status filings.
- Optimize internal systems to automate immigration processes where feasible.
- Advise internal stakeholders on visa eligibility, travel risks, and compliance requirements.
- Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure seamless case handling.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on business immigration paralegal experience with a focus on high‑volume PERM labor certification and H-1B/L-1 petitions.
- Thorough knowledge of the PERM process, prevailing wage determinations, and recruitment requirements.
- Ability to communicate complex immigration processes clearly to stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and strong project management skills.
