Position: Investigator, Extended Workforce Investigations (Fixed-Term Contract)

This is a Fixed Term Contract (FTC) role with an end date of 07/01/2027. This role may also be located in our Playa Vista, CA campus.

  • Baby Bonding Leave: 18 weeks

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in employee relations/investigations, gained in either an HRBP role, Employee Relations Advisory role, or equivalent experience as an employment attorney practicing employment law.
  • Experience consulting directly with employees and management.
  • Experience in interpreting policies and applying legal advice.
  • Experience in applying investigative interview techniques.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience establishing best practices and knowledge management for investigation protocols and HR compliance issues.
  • Experience in employee relations, employment law or ethics and compliance.
  • Experience establishing domain expertise, exercising initiative and judgment across multiple work streams and processes to influence organization to reach goals.
  • Project/program management and influencing leadership and stakeholder management experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, be diplomatic and influence stakeholders, third‑party/suppliers and international teams.
  • Ability to persuasively convey opinions and recommendations both in speaking and writing.

In this role, you will strive to maintain a work environment that is fair and productive for Google’s extended workforce as well as ensure compliance with policies guiding working this workforce. You will manage investigations and grievance resolution around violations of Google’s extended workforce policies, Google’s code of conduct and Google’s Supplier Code of Conduct.
