Human Resource Business Partner

Shop LC is looking to add a dynamic, knowledgeable, and proactive HR Business Partner to our amazing HR team! As an HR Business Partner, you will need general working knowledge of common HR policies & procedures, as well as compliance measures. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is solutions-oriented and enjoys digging- in to root causes to build better processes and teams!

The ideal HR Business Partner should have a passion toward people development, employee relations and performance management. This position will report to the Director of HR and work closely with other HR Business Partners, often collaborating and supporting the areas of compensation, benefits, talent acquisition and HR process improvement.

Reporting Manager – HR Director

Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, resolving issues related to performance, behavior, and conflict resolution.
  • Support overall employee experience, from onboarding and new hire training experience to career progression and placement, including creating and leading training programs.
  • Lead engagement initiatives and retention by initiating and analyzing employee feedback, opinion surveys, and exit interviews
  • Lead or participate in organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with business goals.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and influencing decision-making processes at the highest levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand their goals and develop HR strategies that support organizational objectives.
  • Provide guidance on workforce planning, talent management, and organizational design to optimize business performance.
  • Provide advice, feedback, and suggestions to assigned department managers on a daily/weekly basis around employee relations and performance management issues
  • Drive consistency and support with managers' monthly 121 meetings, reviews, and feedback tools.
  • Assist in the development, documentation, and implementation of human resource policies.
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics; demonstrate the ability to make informed decisions based on data and statistics.
  • Maintain confidential employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  • Ensure HR compliance standards are met and followed, including but not limited to work with Unemployment claims, EEOC charges, WOTC, and FLSA regulations
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, while looking at ways to improve the overall Employee experience
  • All other duties as assigned by the manager
Skills/Experience
  • Background of 5-7 years in HR (Degree is preferred but not required)
  • Proficiency in Spanish language is preferred and considered a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and general payroll practices (e.g. ADP)
  • Understanding of HR policies and procedures and understanding of Texas Employment/ Labor Laws
  • Experience in Employee Relations, Investigations, Performance Management, Talent Development, and coaching leaders
  • Excellent communication and people skills, demonstrates approachability and workload organization, with the ability to follow up on various priorities
  • Aptitude in empathy, problem-solving and critical thinking; able to adapt to fast-paced 24/7 home shopping network environment
  • Self-Driven, with a desire to work as a team and towards measurable results
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint specifically)

Physical Requirements
  • Remaining in a stationary position- often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 40 pounds in all directions, at times may need to reach above head or use a ladder to bring files or supplies down
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (often in front of a computer)
