Gensler's South Central Region is seeking a strategic, technology-savvy Regional Human Resources Manager to serve as a trusted advisor and business partner to office and regional leadership. Reporting to the Regional HR Director, this role will support the full range of core HR responsibilities while helping leaders experience the value of a more proactive, strategic HR partnership.
This role requires someone who can move comfortably between tactical execution and strategic influence-managing day-to-day HR needs with excellence while identifying ways to make HR processes more efficient, scalable, and insight-driven. The ideal candidate brings business acumen, sound judgment, a continuous improvement mindset, and strong comfort using data, systems, and technology to elevate HR service delivery.
What You Will Do- Serve as a strategic HR business partner to regional and office leadership, translating business needs into talent strategies that support workforce planning, organizational health, engagement, retention, leadership capability, and business performance
- Advise leaders across the employee lifecycle, including hiring support, onboarding, performance management, talent development, compensation planning, engagement, mobility, leaves of absence, separations, and offboarding
- Help leaders move beyond transactional HR expectations toward proactive talent planning, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and scalable people solutions
- Lead complex employee relations matters, including investigations, performance concerns, conflict resolution, corrective action, policy interpretation, sensitive personnel matters, and workplace issues, while balancing employee advocacy, business priorities, and risk mitigation
- Partner with Legal, Firmwide HR, Employee Practice, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Benefits, Mobility, Finance, and regional leadership to ensure aligned, compliant, and high-quality HR service delivery
- Support annual talent processes, including performance management, talent reviews, compensation planning, promotions, succession planning, development planning, and engagement survey action planning
- Strengthen employee experience, inclusion, engagement, retention, and workplace culture by helping leaders interpret feedback, identify priorities, and follow through on meaningful actions
- Coach leaders on building high-performing teams, addressing skills gaps, developing talent, improving team effectiveness, and creating meaningful employee experiences
- Leverage Workday, HR systems, reporting tools, workforce analytics, and dashboards to inform decisions, identify trends, ensure data integrity, and support regional and firmwide priorities
- Identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and improve administrative HR workflows, reduce manual effort, build scalable processes, and modernize HR service delivery
- Use Microsoft 365, Power BI, Teams, SharePoint, Copilot, and other AI-enabled tools responsibly to improve collaboration, reporting, communication, workflow efficiency, and decision-making
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR programs, processes, service delivery models, and special projects that support regional and firmwide business objectives
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, service-oriented HR culture grounded in trust, accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience in a business partner, HR manager, or comparable HR leadership role
- Experience supporting leaders in complex, matrixed, multi-office organizations; professional services, consulting, architecture, engineering, or design industry experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of the employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, development, engagement, performance management, compensation planning, employee relations, compliance, separations, and offboarding
- Ability to balance high-touch HR support with scalable, efficient service delivery across both tactical and strategic areas of the HR function
- Proven ability to coach leaders, influence decisions, navigate complex employee situations, and shift conversations from transactional support to proactive talent strategy
- Experience conducting investigations, managing sensitive employee matters, interpreting policies, and partnering with Legal or Employee Practice teams on compliance and risk-related issues
- Strong analytical skills with experience using HR data, metrics, workforce analytics, dashboards, and reporting to inform decisions and identify insights
- Experience improving, simplifying, automating, or redesigning HR workflows, processes, reporting dashboards, or service delivery approaches
- Strong comfort with HRIS platforms;
