Job Summary:

The HR Operations Program Specialist supports the administration of HR Operations functions — HRIS, Compensation, Benefits, and Compliance. This role serves as a connective hub across HR Operations and partner teams (Talent, Training, and broader HR), advancing an integrated total rewards strategy, driving operational metrics, and holding cross-functional initiatives accountable to completion. The ideal candidate is organized, data-fluent, and skilled at moving projects and people toward shared departmental goals.

This role is remote within the following states: AZ, FL, GA, IL, KS, NC, NE, MI, MA, SD, TN, TX, WI, and WY. Candidates may reside in or relocate to any of these states. Relocation assistance will be provided.

Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Accountability

  • Support and help drive larger departmental projects from initiation through completion.
  • Hold teams accountable to timelines, deliverables, and outcomes; escalation risks and remove blockers.
  • Advance forward movement of departmental goals and priority initiatives.

Operations & Program Administration

  • Support day‑to‑day administration of HRIS, Compensation, Benefits, and Compliance processes and programs.
  • Maintain and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); identify gaps and drive documentation, updates, and adoption.
  • Coordinate cross‑training and role assignments to strengthen team coverage.
  • Support Metrics & Reporting for leadership.
  • Define, track, and report on KPIs and metrics across HR Operations.
  • Maintain dashboards and recurring reports that surface trends, risks, and opportunities for leadership.

Total Rewards Integration

  • Support the delivery of an integrated total rewards strategy spanning compensation, benefits, and recognition.
  • Ensure alignment and consistency across total rewards programs and their communication.

Cross-Team Collaboration & Communication

  • Bridge the HR Operations functions and partner with Talent, Training, and other HR teams to align efforts.
  • Support clear, timely employee communications for HR Operations programs and changes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years in HR operations, HRIS, total rewards, or a related analytical/coordination role.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and strong proficiency in Excel/reporting tools.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Exposure to compensation, benefits, and/or compliance administration.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with process documentation (SOPs) and continuous-improvement practices.
  • Experience with UKG
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into insight.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP or similar certification.
