PurposeThis position will lead talent acquisition activities for the Executive MBA program at Texas McCombs and will report to the Director of MBA Recruiting and Admissions for the Working Professional and Executive programs. This position will be responsible for implementing the recruiting and admissions strategy to attract, recruit, evaluate and yield strong candidates to the Executive MBA program at Texas McCombs.
Responsibilities- Recruitment Duties (Executive MBA) - Recruit, counsel, and guide prospective Executive MBA candidates through the admissions process, including program requirements, policies, and admissions procedures. Represent Texas McCombs at Executive MBA recruiting events, information sessions, corporate engagements, and special events. Lead outreach efforts with companies and community organizations in key markets to increase program awareness and strengthen the candidate pipeline. Partner with students and alumni to ensure meaningful representation and engagement at recruiting events and admissions activities.
- Admissions Officer Duties (Executive MBA) - Conduct application file reviews and yield activities; provide individualized counseling, outreach, and follow-up for prospective students and applicants throughout the admissions process; lead Executive MBA admissions committee efforts and candidate evaluation processes; manage part-time staff supporting interviews and other admissions-related activities as needed; and assist with the evaluation of candidates for other MBA programs as needed.
- Lead Engagement Duties - Support the Texas McCombs Working Professional and Executive MBA programs and focus on building awareness, generating prospective student interest, and strengthening the enrollment pipeline. Partner with the marketing team and MBA leadership to develop and execute lead generation strategies, expand awareness in existing and emerging markets, and improve lead-to-application conversion. Lead strategic recruitment initiatives, including the MBA Recruitment AI Agent, corporate partnership outreach, recruiting events, and other efforts designed to attract and engage high-quality candidates across the Working Professional and Executive MBA portfolio.
- Student Volunteer Management - Recruit, train, and manage the McCombs Ambassador Committee, a group of Executive MBA student volunteers who support admissions efforts through event participation, candidate outreach, referrals, and content creation. Build strong relationships with students throughout the program to foster engagement and ensure effective ambassador representation at admissions events and activities.
- Marketing/Event Support - Work with Director and Admissions Marketing Team to develop and evaluate effectiveness of recruiting strategies and marketing plans for the Texas McCombs Executive MBA programs.
- Bachelor's degree and six years of experience in talent acquisition activities (recruiting, evaluation, admission, etc).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal and team skills.
- Excellent diplomacy skills to handle complex situations with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to travel.
- Proficiency with software and comfort learning new technologies. Strong technical skills.
- Master's Degree.
- Working knowledge of graduate management education and/or MBA programs.
- Experience managing user-facing technology applications including Salesforce.
- Experience working in an environment making strategic decisions.
- Experience managing and supervising a team.
- Experience working with a broad group of peers, faculty, administrative personnel, and graduate students.
- $70,000 - $75,000 + depending on qualifications
