Job Description

The Vice President of Human Resources is the senior HR leader for Es Vedra Cinemas, reporting directly to the CEO. This role is responsible for leading the HR function with a strong focus on process, procedure, compliance, operational consistency, and the full team member lifecycle.

The VP of HR oversees Talent Acquisition, Training, Payroll and Benefits, Risk Management, Employee Relations, HR Operations, and Compliance while ensuring HR practices support both business needs and the team member experience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the Human Resources department and establish clear priorities, ownership, processes, and accountability.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, SOPs, workflows, and compliance standards.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across all company locations.
  • Oversee the full team member lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, employee relations, development, and separation.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for Talent Acquisition, Training, Payroll and Benefits, Risk Management, and HR Operations.
  • Establish consistent practices for investigations, corrective action, leaves, accommodations, workers' compensation, and employee relations.
  • Ensure payroll, benefits, timekeeping, wage and hour, and related HR processes are accurate and compliant.
  • Build scalable HR processes and systems that improve efficiency, consistency, and the manager and team member experience.
  • Develop HR metrics, audits, and reporting to identify trends, measure performance, and reduce organizational risk.
  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team on workforce planning, organizational structure, talent strategy, and succession planning.
  • Leverage HR technology and automation to simplify processes and improve service delivery.
  • Lead and develop the HR team while ensuring strong partnership and accountability across operations.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with senior HR leadership responsibility.
  • Experience leading multiple HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, Payroll/Benefits, Training, Employee Relations, and Compliance.
  • Experience supporting a multi-location and multi-state workforce strongly preferred.
  • Experience in hospitality, entertainment, restaurants, retail, or another high-volume hourly environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, wage and hour requirements, HR compliance, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated experience building and improving HR processes, policies, and systems.
  • Strong leadership, judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout office and venue environments as needed.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to travel to company locations and attend meetings, training sessions, and company events.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through electronic communication.
