The role supports the design, deployment, and operations of a large-scale global Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). It focuses on development and support of network fabric and systems through a deep understanding of networking at the protocol level combined with programming skills to automate operations in a production environment. OCI is a cloud-based network with a global footprint, including hundreds of thousands of network devices supporting millions of servers, connected over a mix of dedicated backbone infrastructure and the Internet.
Responsibilities- Lead network lifecycle management programs by defining high-level objectives and delivery procedures.
- Organize project technical milestones and supporting tasks; may act as project technical lead coordinating two or three engineers.
- Advise project/program manager and coordinate with immediate and skip-level leadership; collaborate across teams within the same organization.
- May serve as technical SME in cross-functional activities; take technical responsibility for moderately complex projects including requirements, specifications, and documentation.
- Decompose high-level architectures into detailed designs; lead multiple engineers in developing network solutions with multiple modules of complex interactions.
- Work with supporting service teams to ensure solutions are properly supported by monitoring and automation systems.
- Serve as Tier 2 or specialized escalation point for network events and provide break-fix support for large-scale events.
- Act as the primary contact for driving systematic resolution of complex network issues; perform root cause analysis when needed.
- Develop scripts to automate non-traditional, complex tasks for the business unit; may lead the adoption of new vendor hardware.
- Provide guidance to technical and senior technical staff; mentor junior members and conduct technical coaching sessions.
- Collaborate with vendor engineering and account management to address current business or operational issues; participate in RFQ/RFP development.
- Maintain active communication with product teams and networking leadership; help assess gaps, solutions, and needs.

Hiring Range in USD from: $120,100 - $251,600 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s products, industries and lines of business.
