QA Engineer

QA Engineer 3 (7/22) - In Office (Austin, TX)

• Test Automation Development:
  Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Webdriver
  
  IO or similar frameworks; ensure test scripts cover functional, regression, and integration testing needs; optimize test scripts for performance and reliability.
• Manual Testing Support:
  Execute manual test cases when automation is not feasible or during exploratory testing; validate test results and report discrepancies accurately.
• Test Planning and Execution:
  Prioritize test scenarios based on risk, impact, and business requirements; create and maintain detailed test execution plans; track and report test case execution status regularly.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  Develop and maintain documentation for automated testing processes and frameworks; generate and distribute test execution reports and defect summaries; maintain requirements traceability matrices to ensure coverage and compliance.

  Collaboration:
  
  Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives); collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the SDLC; support development and testing activities across dev, test, UAT, and production environments.
• Defect Management:
  Use Jira to log, track, and manage defects; work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• UAT and On-Call Support:
  Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities; provide on-call support for critical testing phases and production releases.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Identify opportunities to improve test automation coverage and efficiency; stay updated with industry best practices and emerging tools in test automation.

  Preferred Experience:
• 10 Required — Manual Test Script Execution Experience
• 8 Required — Automated QA Testing Experience
• 8 Required — QA Test Script Creation Experience
• 8 Required — Performance Testing Experience
• 5 Preferred — QA Automated Test Case Reporting Experience
• 5 Preferred — JavaScript, HTML Experience, Selenium
• 3 Preferred — Agile, Scrum, and Jira, XRay Experience
