AMD's Data Center Platform Engineering Group (DPEG) is designing, building and delivering innovative technology infrastructure enabling the digital world. We create cloud-enabling server solutions for leading companies. As part of the DC Platform Engineering organization, the Technical Program Manager will lead the management and execution of AI server and hyperscale server platform programs throughout the product lifecycle, from product definition and planning through production, release and end of life.

The Validation Technical Program Manager will serve as a key technical program lead for the validation of server platforms. Work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute a comprehensive test plan verifying product functionality and adherence to specifications, including firmware and software stack. Responsibilities span boards validation, system and rack-level integration and validation, including electrical, power, mechanicals, thermals, shock and vibe, certifications, system integration and platform validation, reliability, and firmware.

Responsibilities include leading triage and debugging efforts, identifying root cause, and resolving issues. Interface with architecture, mechanical design, platform, firmware and system engineering for collaboration across the design process. Exercise judgment in test specifications, requirements, strategies and methodologies for electrical validation, firmware validation and platform-level testing. Lead test efforts and prepare schedules to track requirements and complete actions, including summarizing test results and creating documentation.

Participate in internal and customer-facing program core team meetings to communicate updates and ensure the validation plan stays on track. Provide internal server R&D hardware validation support. Collaborate on automation efforts for system validation.

• Collaborate with system architects, mechanical design, platform, firmware, and system engineering teams throughout all phases of the design process to ensure alignment and leverage expertise.
• Define and apply sound judgment in developing test specifications, requirements, strategies, and methodologies for electrical validation, firmware validation, and platform-level testing.
• Lead validation efforts by creating and managing schedules, tracking requirements, and driving completion of actions, including summarizing test results and preparing comprehensive documentation.
• Represent validation in internal and customer-facing program core team meetings to provide updates, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to validation plans and milestone commitments.
• Deliver hardware and system validation support for Internal Server Research & Development initiatives.
