Engineer, Cloud Computing

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX. The candidate must have strong expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, and Ali Cloud services to build, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud‑native Dev Ops platforms at scale.

Rate Range: $48/hour to $51/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer job responsibilities include:

* Build, configure, and optimize AWS, Kubernetes, and Ali Cloud environments to support scalable cloud‑native platforms.

* Implement Git Ops‑driven deployment workflows using ArgoCD and manage advanced release strategies through Spinnaker.

* Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using Prometheus, Grafana, and other observability tools to ensure system reliability.

* Manage networking components including ingress controllers, load balancers, certificate management, SSL/mTLS, and cloud networking.

* Develop automation through Python or Shell scripting to streamline infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks.

* Support databases and caching systems such as Couchbase, Cassandra, Oracle, Postgre

SQL, Elasticsearch, and SQS/SNS while resolving application‑level issues.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.

* Relevant experience supporting cloud‑native Dev Ops environments across AWS, Kubernetes, and Ali Cloud platforms.

* Strong capability to implement Git Ops workflows, manage Kubernetes clusters, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure at scale.

* Proven ability to handle observability, networking, and automation using Prometheus, Grafana, scripting, and modern cloud‑native tooling.

Pay Details: $48.00 to $51.00 per hour
