As part of the AWS sales organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert‑level knowledge to solve. SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges, guiding customers in refactoring applications or designing entirely new cloud‑based systems.

The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services, responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing accounts to enterprise‑level customers, including the public sector. WWSO teams include business development, specialist, and technical solutions architecture.
As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses.
We are looking for a Senior Worldwide Specialist Solutions Architect focused on HPC to work with customers in physics‑informed machine learning, CAE, Weather, and GPU‑accelerated computing, crafting cloud‑based solutions. You will help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud‑based solutions and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud, shaping and executing strategy to build mind‑share and broad use of AWS within enterprise customers.
Key Job Responsibilities- Design customer solutions and collaborate with the wider AWS teams to help customers and partners architect HPC solutions that leverage AWS services.
- Engage with Solution Architects, Account Managers, Professional Services, and Partners to define an HPC engagement strategy for AWS operational territories and key accounts, emphasizing public sector National Super Computing Centers, government agencies, and AI/ML, CAE, Weather and accelerated computing with GPU.
- Provide thought leadership on solutions that benefit customers through the use of AWS services, including writing external publications such as the AWS Compute Blog, whitepapers, reference architectures, and internal training of Solutions Architects, Professional Services Consultants, Technical Account Managers, and AWS Trainers.
- Serve as a key member of the business development and accounting management team in helping ensure customer success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS platform.
- Assist solution providers with the definition and implementation of technical and business strategies.
- Capture and share best‑practice knowledge among the worldwide AWS solution architect community.
- Understand AWS market segments and industry verticals.
- Understand and exploit the use of internal business support systems.
- Experience communicating across technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive‑level stakeholders or clients.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Deep HPC experience for workloads in a domain such as CAE, Weather Simulation, oil and gas, automotive/aerospace, financial services or pharmaceuticals.
- Experience in architecting an HPC system and infrastructure with orchestration schedulers (e.g., Slurm, Torque, Symphony or Grid Server) and parallel file systems (Lustre, IBM Spectrum Scale).
- Experience in deployment, tuning, benchmarking and management of HPC technologies in a multi‑user environment.
- Deep GPU knowledge in HPC and/or AI/ML frameworks.
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Physics, or related fields.
