Why this Role Exists

Atempo is expanding fast in North America — and we need a Senior Solutions Engineer with real, hands-on technical depth to support that growth.

This role is more engineer than presenter. You’ll work directly with IT admins, storage teams, and cloud architects to design, validate, and implement solutions that move and protect petabytes of unstructured data using Atempo’s Miria platform.

You’ll collaborate with partners like HPE, Qumulo, and DDN and some of the largest U.S. enterprises — from Fortune 100s and major healthcare systems to government agencies — translating real-world infrastructure needs into elegant, reliable data-management architectures.

• Partner with Sales and Channel Teams to define technical strategies for enterprise accounts.
• Lead discovery sessions to understand infrastructure, bottlenecks, and data-management workflows.
• Build, test, and deliver technical demos and Proofs of Concept (POCs) that showcase how Atempo solves real problems in complex environments.
• Troubleshoot and validate scalability and performance across petabyte-scale environments.
• Build solution architectures that integrate with storage systems (Isilon, Qumulo, HPE, Net App), clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP), and existing backup or migration frameworks.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to provide customer feedback and help shape roadmap priorities.
• Support deployment teams to ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to production.
• Act as the technical voice of the customer inside Atempo — advocating for what really matters in the field.

• You’re the kind of person who loves figuring out how things really work — the one who’d happily spend a weekend building (or dreaming about) a home lab just to test how fast you can move data between systems.
• You connect best with IT admins and engineers because you’ve been in their shoes.
• You have a strong engineering mindset and an obsession with performance, scalability, and elegant data-flow design.
• You’re hands-on by default — comfortable running commands, tuning networks, and working side-by-side with system administrators.
• You’re resourceful, self-directed, and thrive in environments where you can experiment, troubleshoot, and innovate freely.
• You’re a clear, confident communicator — able to translate complex storage and backup concepts into plain language for any audience.
• You’re calm under pressure and thrive in live customer situations: demos, whiteboarding sessions, and performance deep dives don’t scare you.
• You naturally build trust by being precise, thoughtful, and technically credible.
• You take pride in being the person sales brings in when things get technical.

• You will become the technical backbone of Atempo’s U.S. go-to-market team.
• You will lead and win enterprise-scale POCs, proving value in real customer environments.
• You will partner closely with your AE to close strategic U.S. and North American deals.
• You will be recognized internally and externally as a trusted expert in data movement and protection.
