Job Title: Spatial Computing Research Engineer

Location: Austin, TX, US

Duration of the job: 6-12 months

Pay Range: $70 to $76 per hour on W2

We have an opening for Spatial Computing Research engineering. Candidate will be responsible for:

• Conduct R&D in the areas of spatial computing, multi-modal AI, computer vision, AR/VR, 3D animation, and other technical areas related to XR and communication.
• Advanced research targeted for publication and presence in world leading conferences, such as CVPR and Siggraph.
• Industrial and academic collaboration, and professional community involvement. Expand community influence.
• Hands on research, and lead interns for joint research publication.
• Collaborate with other researchers and scientists internally and externally for joint technology advancement
• Design and implement demonstration systems; and create new features, from a technical specification or a reference implementation.
• Prototype, implement, and design evaluation and demonstration algorithms.
• Support other internal research activities.

Requirements
:

• MS & PhD in Computer Science, EE, or related fields
• Proven experience in academic research and publication
• Strong knowledge in software development in related fields with hands-on experiences
• Proficient in working programming languages.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in machine learning algorithms, AR/VR system, computer graphics, computer vision, or related areas
• Experience in 3D human ML models a plus, particularly the experience with SMPL, HaMer, and SAM.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and teamwork abilities
• Eagerness to learn new technologies
