Engineer, AI Engineer

Overview

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX (Hybrid). The candidate will build structured/NLP/time-series models and apply LLM techniques while contributing to scalable MLOps workflows.

Rate Range: $60/hour to $66/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Develop and deploy machine learning models across structured data, NLP, and time-series use cases using Python and modern ML frameworks.
• Apply LLM concepts such as RAG, prompting, few-shot prompting, and fine-tuning to build intelligent and context-aware solutions.
• Design and implement scalable MLOps pipelines, including model versioning, monitoring, CI/CD automation, and containerized deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business problems, design ML-driven solutions, and validate model performance using statistical methods.
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and tools like Docker and Kubernetes to operationalize models in production environments.
• Maintain best practices in code quality, data handling, model documentation, and reproducibility across the ML lifecycle.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning model development and deployment.
• Strong proficiency in Python with proven experience in ML frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, Tensor Flow, Keras, RASA, or Lang Chain.
• Solid understanding of LLM concepts (RAG, prompting, few-shot prompting, SFT) and practical experience working with MLOps tools, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $66.00 per hour
