Senior Network Engineer (Bilingual Korean/English)
📍
Austin, TX (Onsite – must live within 1 hour of Taylor, TX)
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer who is bilingual in Korean and English to support a large-scale, high-availability manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with stakeholders
, Korean vendors, and internal teams to design, support, and maintain reliable, secure enterprise network infrastructure.
- Architect and support enterprise networks using Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms
- Design and optimize advanced routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and EVPN
- Deploy, configure, and maintain F5 Load Balancers
, including iRules - Act as the escalation point for complex L2/L3 network issues
, VPNs, and hardware failures - Implement and enforce network security using IPSec, 802.1x, TACACS+, and firewalls
- Support manufacturing-specific multicast technologies (
PIM, MSDP, Anycast-RP
) - Lead network upgrades, migrations, and expansion projects with minimal downtime
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, ISPs, and vendors on RMAs and escalations
- Create and maintain detailed documentation including 8D reports, SOPs, diagrams, and incident logs
- Mentor junior engineers and promote operational excellence
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 8+ years of hands‑on experience in enterprise network engineering
- Strong experience with Cisco enterprise networking (Catalyst, Nexus)
- Hands‑on experience with firewalls and load balancers
- Experience supporting Samsung Semiconductor environments
- Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, multicast, and VPN technologies
- CCNP Enterprise or CCIE (current or expired within the last 3 years)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex hardware, L2/L3, and application connectivity issues
- Experience with network monitoring tools
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and documentation discipline
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with Korean‑speaking vendors
- Bilingual in Korean and English (required)
- Must commute onsite 5 days per week
- Experience supporting large manufacturing or 24/7 production environments
- High‑availability network design experience
- Server networking experience (
VPC, LACP, NIC teaming
) - F5 Load Balancer experience (iRules strongly preferred)
- Packet capture analysis and SSL certificate experience
- F5 or Palo Alto certifications with 5+ years hands‑on experience
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix and automation tools (
Python, Ansible
)
