Job Responsibilities
  • Responds to incoming requests from business areas to design, build, maintain or repair reports and applications.
  • Troubleshoots and analyzes technical problems associated with local applications.
  • Writes and reviews technical specifications for programs and/or systems.
  • Writes and updates computer and/or server application programs.
  • Writes programs and/or queries for spreadsheet or database software to create reports and import/export data.
  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
  • Serves as Technical Product owner for AI applications.
  • Educates stakeholders on how to best apply different AI technologies and explains how the AI will work.
Qualifications Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline. Related experience and/or relevant technical training may be substituted for education on a year per year basis.

Work Experience

5 years of experience in systems analysis, application systems support, or related work experience (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent). Related graduate level education may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.

License and Certification
  • Valid driver's license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AI related technologies such as generative AI or machine learning AI.
  • Experience with AI chat assistants like Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Gemini.
  • Experience with AI agent building platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio.
  • Experience building and/or maintaining chatbots or large language models (LLMs).
  • Experience creating applications in Python.
  • Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
  • Experience building AI proofs of concepts.
  • Experience leveraging and implementing AI technologies such as OCR, intelligent document processing, LLMs, and computer vision.
Knowledge of
  • IT/IS software and hardware development methodologies and standards.
  • Concepts, techniques and tools used in planning, designing and implementing database management systems and related technologies.
  • Applicable computer software applications and hardware.
Expert Skill In
  • Researching, analyzing, and interpreting policies and state and federal laws and regulations specific to functional area.
