DevSecOps Engineer; Junior–Mid, AI-Aware

Level: Junior to Mid-Level (with clear growth to Senior)

By leveraging innovative solutions tailored to the needs of residential communities, Casa Perks creates meaningful connections between operators and their tenants. Our mission is to empower property managers to enhance resident satisfaction and retention through our easy-to-use platform.

• Build and maintain secure cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
• Embed security practices into everyday development workflows
• Use AI tools to analyze infrastructure, logs, pipelines, and security findings
• Review and harden AI-generated infrastructure and automation code
• Support monitoring, incident response, and reliability improvements
• Work closely with experienced engineers to learn production-grade security and reliability practices
• Help define sensible security and operational guardrails as we scale

• AWS and cloud fundamentals
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
• Secrets management and access control
• Monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Security scanning, audits, and retrospectives

You’re not expected to be an expert in all of these on day one—growth is part of the role.

We expect comfort using AI responsibly in security-sensitive environments:

• Using AI to understand and analyze infrastructure and security issues
• Validating and improving AI-generated IaC and automation
• Leveraging AI for threat modeling and post-incident analysis
• Knowing when AI suggestions are helpful—and when they’re risky

Over time, we expect you to help improve how the team uses AI, not just whether we use it.

Security judgment matters more than tool choice.

• ~1–4 years of experience in Dev Ops, infrastructure, or backend engineering
• Solid understanding of cloud and security fundamentals
• Curiosity and caution when working in production environments
• Interest in systems thinking and architectural impact
• Clear communicator who’s comfortable asking questions

• Make meaningful improvements to infrastructure, security, or reliability
• Introduce or refine AI-assisted workflows that improve visibility or safety
• Show growing systems-level understanding of our platform
• Take ownership of operational or security concerns end to end
• Help shape how Dev Sec Ops  works at Casa Perks as we mature
