Job DescriptionIdeal candidate: 5-10 years of experience in the payments space, focusing on data compliance, technical data analysis, and regulatory audit readiness planning.
Candidate should be able to review, document and identify payment data shared between client payment systems and external payment partners. The candidate should have legal knowledge surrounding payments and strong communication.
Project Scope/Details/Responsibilities - focus on payments performance, compliance, and data service. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, treasury, finance, and legal, to ensure that all payment systems and data are easily accessible to our merchants as well as compliant with regional and global regulatory frameworks.
Primary Role- Review, document, and identify payment data shared between APS and external payment partners. Work with key Privacy experts to ensure alignment with local regulation, industry best practice, and client’s privacy and compliance standards.
- Gather, document, and thoroughly vet all payment data fields shared between APS and External Payment Partners (~30 partners in total) and between external integrators and payment partners during binding and purchase flows. Start with highest risk partners (Alipay integrations) in the highest risk market.
- Coordinate engagement with external partners (especially Alipay and wallets onboarded through them) to ensure consistency between their understanding of data flows and ours.
- Conduct a preliminary self-audit and identify a list of data elements and/or integrations that might need further review/feedback from WPC legal, privacy, and compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and propose a risk mitigation plan if/where needed.
- Audit payment and data flows with partners and recommend improvements.
- Identify and manage compliance risks in payment processes.
- Track payment performance metrics and optimize outcomes.
- Implement tools to detect and resolve issues faster.
- Use data insights to improve processes and systems.
- 3+ years of product management experience in payments.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s a plus).
- Strong knowledge of payment systems and regulations.
- Data-driven, analytical problem solver.
- 5+ years in the payments industry.
- Experience with tools like Splunk, Tableau, or Excel.
- Knowledge of cross-border payments.
- Master’s degree in Business or Data Analytics.
