Location:

Austin, TX (Hybrid Only Locals) — 6 Month Contract.

Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Mon & Thurs) required onsite at the location listed above. Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY (Within 50-mile radius). Subject to change per the hiring team. Please do not submit candidates who are currently out of state and are planning to move to Texas. Candidates must already reside in Texas.

Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system:
Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.

Skilled QA Engineer / Automation Tester with deep expertise in Selenium-based functional automation testing. This role requires a strong foundation in core testing principles, hands‑on automation framework development, and the ability to ensure high‑quality software delivery through structured, scalable, and reliable test solutions.

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Selenium.
• Build and enhance automation frameworks (data‑driven, hybrid, or BDD).
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Analyze business requirements and create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and architects to clarify requirements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, grooming, retrospectives).
• Perform API testing (manual and automated).
• Conduct defect tracking, root‑cause analysis, and impact assessment.
• Ensure CI/CD pipeline integration of automation suites.
• Provide test coverage analysis and quality metrics reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience in Quality Assurance and testing — 7 years required.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Selenium Web Driver and other automation tools — 7 years required.
• Experience with Java (preferred) or C#/Python for automation scripting — 7 years required.
• Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch — 7 years required.
• Strong understanding of functional testing principles — 7 years required.
• Experience with TestNG/JUnit/NUnit, Maven/Gradle, Git — 7 years required.
• Experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions) — 7 years required.
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Rest Assured, etc.) — 7 years required.
• Strong SQL knowledge for backend validation — 6 years required.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments — 6 years required.
• Strong understanding of test planning and strategy, test case design techniques (boundary value, equivalence partitioning), regression strategy, risk‑based testing — 6 years required.
• Ability to independently own testing for a feature/module — 7 years required.

Preferred:

• Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Spec Flow) — 7 years preferred.
• Experience with Selenium Grid / parallel execution — 7 years preferred.
• Experience testing cloud‑based applications (Azure/AWS) — 7 years preferred.
• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter) — 5 years preferred.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) — 5 years preferred.
• Exposure to Dev Ops practices and shift‑left testing — 5 years preferred.
• Experience in microservices architecture testing — 5 years preferred.
• Knowledge of security testing basics — 5 years preferred.
