Job Title: QA Engineer / Automation Tester
Location: Hybrid - Austin, TX (3 days Remote | Mon & Thurs Onsite)
Compensation: $93,704.00 - $ per year
The WorkThe QA Engineer / Automation Tester is responsible for understanding business objectives, analyzing operational challenges, and identifying technology‑driven solutions using automated testing to enhance efficiency, automate processes, and improve computer systems. The role requires cost/benefit analyses, user requirements study, and documentation of technical workflows to develop or modify computer programs. Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Selenium.
- Build and enhance automation frameworks (data‑driven, hybrid, or BDD).
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Analyze business requirements and create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and architects to clarify requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, grooming, retrospectives).
- Perform API testing (manual and automated).
- Conduct defect tracking, root cause analysis, and impact assessment.
- Ensure CI/CD pipeline integration of automation suites.
- Provide test coverage analysis and quality metrics reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance testing.
- 7+ years of hands‑on expertise in Selenium Web Driver and other automation tools.
- 7+ years of strong understanding of functional testing principles.
- 7+ years of experience with Java (preferred) or C#/Python for automation scripting.
- 7+ years of experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
- 7+ years of experience with TestNG / JUnit / NUnit, Maven / Gradle, Git.
- 7+ years experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions).
- 7+ years of experience with API testing tools (Postman, Rest Assured, etc.).
- 7+ years of strong SQL knowledge for backend validation.
- 6+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- 6+ years of strong understanding of test planning and strategy, test case design techniques (boundary value, equivalence partitioning), regression strategy, risk‑based testing.
- 6+ years with the ability to independently own testing for a feature/module.
- Must be able to pass a background check; may require additional checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with high‑level attention to detail.
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities; adaptable to change and a quick learner.
- Self‑motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi‑functional team.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experienced with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Spec Flow).
- Experience with Selenium Grid / parallel execution.
- Testing cloud‑based applications (Azure/AWS).
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter).
- Experience with containerization (Docker).
- Exposure to Dev Ops practices and shift‑left testing.
- Experience in microservices architecture testing.
- Experience with security testing basics.

Working Conditions- Professional office environment.
- Hybrid/on‑site in Austin, TX.
- Normal business hours Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties for extended periods.
- Must use a computer and productivity tools at sufficient speed.
- Must establish a productive and professional workspace.
