Senior Network Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated network professional to support Arm’s global network infrastructure and deliver key network projects. As part of the Global Networks Team, you will handle BAU operations, network maintenance, and improvement initiatives, working closely with Infrastructure and Global Networks teams across multiple time zones. Occasional out-of-hours support may be required.

You will design, implement, manage, and support network infrastructure, applying strong enterprise networking expertise to deliver secure, scalable, high‑performance solutions. Experience with automation and Infrastructure‑as‑Code will enable efficient, reliable delivery.

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available network infrastructure across Arm’s global network infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve complex network issues across multiple platforms, performing root‑cause analysis and driving long‑term solutions.
• Monitor and optimize network performance to enhance reliability, efficiency, and user experience.
• Automate and innovate network configuration and management using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Python, and APIs to improve consistency and reduce manual effort.
• Collaborate effectively with cloud, systems, and security teams to build cohesive, high‑performing infrastructure that delivers business value.
• Contribute to global support coverage by participating in a 24/7 on‑call rotation, responding to network incidents in a calm and solution‑focused manner.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Relevant Cisco technical accreditation is desirable. (CCNA, CCNP).
• 4+ years’ hands‑on experience in maintaining large, sophisticated vendor‑agnostic networks.
• Solid foundation of network security, firewalls, and standard methodologies for segmentation.
• Capable of performing network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose complex network problems.
• Understanding of ITIL processes.

• Experience with software‑defined networking (SDN) architectures and services, with an understanding of how they enhance agility, scalability, and automation.
• Exposure to hybrid or multi‑cloud networking across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or enthusiasm to develop these skills.
