ABOUT THE Division General descriptionThe Texas Comptroller’s Office is hiring a Batch Processing Administrator within the Information Technology Division
. This role is responsible for providing oversight, monitoring, administration, and evaluation of batch scheduling systems, secure file transfer services, and related IT application architecture. Key duties includes administering and maintaining complex batch environments; creating, testing, and supporting automated job schedules and scripts; reviewing, monitoring, and providing technical assistance for secure file transfers and enterprise-wide critical applications; and coordinating issue resolution, troubleshooting, system maintenance, upgrades, and performance activities.
The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who can adapt rapidly to shifting priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work an eight-hour schedule between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, 40-hour week, Monday – Friday with occasional work schedule variance when necessary. Perform on-call duty on a rotational basis and occasionally work additional hours based on business peaks. Hours may change based on business need.
TeleworkingTeleworking may be considered if certain working conditions are met. The candidate must have permanent residency within the state of Texas and must be able to meet in office requirements, which can vary among different sections (i.e. report to office 1 day/month, 3 days/week, etc.). Travel reimbursements are not provided for teleworking.
Minimum Qualifications- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree.
- Five (5) years’ experience in Control-M scheduling and administration.
- Five (5) years’ experience in Batch Processing, batch processing, or Managed File Transfer administration.
- Three (3) years of experience supporting secure file systems or other managed file transfer systems.
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer engineering, computer information systems, computer science, management information systems, or a related field.
- Ten (10) years’ experience in Control-M scheduling and administration.
- Five (5) years’ experience in Global Scape EFT, Arcus MFT, or AWS Transfer Family.
- Experience in a medium to large Datacenter Data Processing.
