Now we are looking for someone who can help us formalize, strengthen, and elevate our ecosystem so it runs beautifully and intentionally.

🌐 Position Overview

The Instructional Technology Leadership Contractor will coordinate and strengthen the campus technology ecosystem with a strong focus on:

  • Instructional integration
  • AI implementation
  • STEM equipment systems
  • Vendor coordination
  • Staff training and support
  • Technology compliance and reliability

This role serves as the bridge between instructional vision and technology operations while helping advance the “T” in STEM through meaningful classroom integration.

🛠 What You Will Help Build 🔧 Technology Infrastructure & Equipment Systems
  • Serve as primary liaison with external IT vendors and helpdesk providers
  • Help ensure reliable, secure, and safe network and device systems
  • Formalize inventory, lifecycle planning, and asset management for:
    • Student and staff devices (iPads, laptops, peripherals)
    • VR headsets
    • 3D printers and fabrication tools
    • VEX Robotics equipment
    • STEM lab and Maker Space technology
    • Instructional software and licenses
  • Support student device systems including:
    • Google Classroom
    • Clever
    • Go Guardian
    • Filtering and safety systems
🤖 Instructional Technology & AI Integration
  • Lead implementation and integration of Playlab AI across instructional and operational use
  • Support teachers in embedding technology into STEM instruction and project‑based learning
  • Strengthen technology alignment across STEM pathways
  • Support classroom integration of:
    • Robotics and engineering design challenges
    • 3D modeling and printing workflows
    • VR learning experiences
    • Emerging instructional technologies aligned to school goals
🎓 Staff Training & Confidence Building
  • Provide engaging and practical professional learning for staff
  • Create simple, clear classroom guides for technology tools
  • Support teacher onboarding related to devices, software, and systems
  • Partner with teachers to build confidence and fluency with technology‑rich instruction
🔐 Systems Coordination & Platform Access
  • Support technology coordination across SIS and instructional platforms
  • Ensure secure and appropriate user access systems
  • Support setup and maintenance of:
    • Ascender
    • Mackin Vision
    • Playlab AI
    • STEM software platforms
    • Instructional technology tools
📡 E-Rate Coordination
  • Serve as campus lead for E-Rate documentation, timelines, and compliance
  • Partner with vendors and leadership to maintain funding eligibility
🎯 Ideal Background

Required

  • Experience leading or managing school technology ecosystems
  • Strong understanding of instructional technology integration
  • Experience supporting adult learning and professional development
  • Familiarity with E-Rate coordination
  • Passion for emerging technologies and STEM education

Highly Valued

  • Former principal, assistant principal, or technology director
  • Experience with AI‑enabled learning tools
  • Experience supporting robotics, VR, or maker environments
  • Familiarity with charter schools or Texas K–12 systems
  • Enjoys building systems from scratch and leaving them stronger
