Hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed.

• Work involves highly advanced (senior-level) systems administration in support of agency mainframe applications and supporting infrastructure; coordinate day-to-day system administration functions such as mainframe configuration, break/fix system support, and base user account creation/support.
• Routine system administration functions include security administration support, performance monitoring, security monitoring, and system maintenance.
• Support data entry and control work processes, oversee and coordinate mainframe operations in the State’s Consolidated Data Center Services (DCS), and collaborate with Network Administration, Customer Support, and Applications Development & Support teams to provide day‑to‑day mainframe operation support.
• Experience with Informatica Power Exchange Administration for Change Data Capture processing using mainframe data sources and targets (i.e., IMS and VSAM) is a plus.

• 5 years, Required – Experience with JES2, z/OS Unix System Services (OMVS), Storage Management Subsystem (SMS)
• 3 years, Required – Experience with TSS (Top Secret Security)
• 3 years, Required – Experience with performance monitoring including initial analysis of performance issues
• 2 years, Required – Experience with REXX
• 3 years, Preferred – Experience with Informatica Power Exchange Administration
• 3 years, Preferred – Working knowledge of z/OS Operation, z/OS Networking – VTAM, TCP/IP, etc.
• 3 years, Preferred – Working knowledge of z/OS‑centric automated job scheduling and management software (JOBTRAC), Terminal Emulator Software (BLUEZONE), VTAM Session Manager Software (VTAM/SWITCH), etc.

• Provide primary support as the subject matter expert for z/OS operating systems and system components; provide direct technical support for planning, implementation and testing of releases, upgrades, or changes.
• Provide end‑user support for assigned ISV products such as Blue Zone.
• Provide primary administration and end‑user support for SCLM.
• Provide input and recommendations for hardware capacity planning.
• Provide primary administrative support for CICS® and IMS™.
• Diagnose platform, software, and related product issues and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Analyze performance issues and recommend capacity planning strategies.
• Recommend system‑wide performance tuning to meet required service levels.
• Recommend system parameters and system libraries management.
• Support technical consultation and inquiries from other IT teams.
• Serve as technical lead on internal projects or participate on projects impacting the z/OS platform.
• Support integration testing of new products with existing applications and user procedures.
• Assist with maintaining and providing technical support for Mainframe Production Control and Support Jobs and monthly Mainframe Job Scheduler.
