Overview
The Senior Manager, Ecommerce reports to the Director of Ecommerce & Retention and owns the storefront. This role manages every product page, promotion, pixel, and on‑site experience that converts visitors into buyers or subscribers into loyalists. The position is a hands‑on operator role in Shopify Plus, responsible for technology implementations, conversion rate optimization, project coordination, and quality assurance.
What You Own- Storefront Operations & Merchandising – Shopify Plus storefront end‑to‑end: product setup, collection curation, site content, banners, promotions, and discount codes. Accuracy, speed, and brand consistency are required.
- On‑Site Subscription Experience – Own all subscription touchpoints: product pages, checkout flow, widgets, and the customer account portal. Coordinate with Retention to support subscription growth.
- Conversion Rate Optimization – Continuous improvement of the on‑site experience. Test, iterate, and optimize UX, merchandising, and the customer journey. Key metrics: conversion rate, AOV, and repeat purchase.
- Project Management & Tech Stack – Manage ecommerce technology projects in Jira, oversee timelines, milestones, vendor coordination, and collaboration with developers. Own the Shopify app ecosystem, evaluate and optimize third‑party solutions, and stay current on platform enhancements.
- Quality Assurance – Final line of defense. Ensure site, emails, SMS, new features, pre‑launch, and post‑launch quality: broken links, display errors, checkout issues, mobile responsiveness. Ship only with sign‑off.
- Analytics & Reporting – Track Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, and internal tools. Deliver clear insights and support data‑driven decisions.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Serve as the point of contact for website and ecommerce operations across internal teams and external agencies. Align timelines and keep momentum.
- 5 to 7 years in DTC ecommerce operations.
- At least 3 years managing a Shopify Plus storefront.
- Direct experience configuring and operating a Shopify Plus subscription platform.
- Experience managing ecommerce technology projects and implementations using Jira or similar tools.
- Track record of driving measurable improvements in conversion rate and site performance.
- Foundational understanding of SEO best practices for ecommerce.
- Comfortable executing directly in Shopify Plus on a daily basis with strong familiarity across the ecosystem.
- Analytical mindset with fluency in Google Analytics and other reporting tools.
- Rigorous approach to QA and site testing.
- Strong project management instincts with the ability to run multiple initiatives independently.
- Clear communicator coordinating effectively across internal teams and external vendors.
- Proactive identification of issues and opportunities before they become problems.
- Experience in the wellness, vitamins, or supplements industry.
- Experience with A/B testing or dedicated CRO tools.
- Intermediate understanding of SEO best practices for ecommerce.
- Experience managing technology migrations or platform implementations.
- Customer‑obsessed, data‑first, high accountability.
- Brand and performance treated as one role.
- Direct communication and short feedback loops.
- Open to correction when data dictates.
USA Pay Range: $120,000 – $140,000 USD.
