DeepL is a global AI product and research company focused on building secure, intelligent solutions to complex business problems. Over 200,000 business customers and millions of individuals across 228 markets trust DeepL's Language AI platform for human‑like translation, improved writing and real‑time voice translation.
Founded in 2017 by CEO Jaroslaw “Jarek” Kutylowski, DeepL now has around 1,000 passionate employees and is supported by world‑renowned investors including Benchmark, IVP and Index Ventures.
Our goal is to become the global leader in trusted, intelligent AI technology, building products that drive better communication and foster connections.
Your RoleAs a Solution Architect on our global solution consulting team, you will sit at the intersection of enterprise translation strategy, localisation technology and complex deal execution.
Your Responsibilities- Get Inside the Customer's World:
Engage confidently with localisation program managers, language operations leads, IT architects and procurement stakeholders; understand their content volumes, language pairs, TM system set‑up, LSP relationships and gaps in the current stack; translate that into a clear picture of where DeepL creates the most impact. - Map the Workflow Transformation:
Create before‑and‑after models of a customer's current manual‑heavy processes and fragmented localisation state compared to a DeepL‑centric future, demonstrating how processes are streamlined and efficiency gains are achieved. - Lead Technical Validation:
Design and run high‑impact POCs and architecture reviews that prove translation quality, integration feasibility and operational efficiency; speak authoritatively on security posture, compliance and governance to risk‑averse IT and procurement audiences. - Shape the Practice and the Product:
Establish and refine playbooks—discovery frameworks, architecture templates, ROI models and automation recipes—that elevate the broader GTM team; feed structured field insight back to Product and Engineering and turn customer challenges into roadmap influence.
- 7‑10+ years in Solution Architecture, Solution Consulting or Technical Pre‑Sales, ideally within language technology, localisation, enterprise SaaS or system integration.
- Strong familiarity with modern AI and localisation stacks, including MLP, CLI, Claude, TMS, MT API integration patterns, TM and Glossary workflows, CMS integrations and REST/webhook API architecture.
- Thought‑process of workflow transformation—ability to map complex enterprise content pipelines and make a case for change.
- Solid understanding of the LSP model.
- Security and compliance fluency; comfortable discussing data residency, security posture and governance with legal and IT audiences in regulated industries.
- Strong enterprise instincts and ability to navigate localisation managers, IT architects and C‑level buyers.
- Fluency in English mandatory; additional language proficiency (German, French, Spanish, Italian or Japanese) strongly preferred.
- Diverse, internationally distributed team of over 90 nationalities.
- Open communication, regular feedback and culture of empathy and growth mindset.
- Hybrid work and flexible hours; teams work in office twice a week.
- Virtual Shares: ownership mindset in every role.
- Regular in‑person team events.
- Monthly full‑day hacking sessions.
- 30 days of annual leave plus mental‑health resources.
- Competitive benefits tailored to each location.
We welcome you for who you are. Our product is for everyone, and so is our workplace. We celebrate diversity and strive to break down language barriers.
