SharePoint Application Administrator

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)
Duration: 13-Month Contract
Pay Rate: $36–$52/hour (DOE)

Overview

LCRA’s Document Management Systems Administration team is seeking an experienced SharePoint Application Administrator to support and enhance a hybrid SharePoint environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining system performance, ensuring security and reliability, and driving adoption of modern collaboration tools across the organization.

About the Environment

You’ll be working within a hybrid infrastructure that includes:

  • SharePoint Server (2019 and earlier versions: 2013/2016)
  • SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365)
  • Migration and workflow tools such as Share Gate, Metalogix, Nintex, Formstack
  • Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, etc.)
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, maintain, and support SharePoint on-prem (2013/2016/2019) and SharePoint Online environments
  • Manage SharePoint infrastructure, including servers, farms, databases, and network components
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure platform stability and reliability
  • Support and manage integrations with tools such as Nintex, Formstack, and Power Platform
  • Design and implement backup, disaster recovery, and high‑availability solutions
  • Ensure compliance with security policies
    , including M365 security, certificates, and firewall configurations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize document management systems and workflows
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members on SharePoint administration and best practices
  • Drive adoption of new tools and technologies across the organization
  • Assist with migrations, upgrades, and continuous system improvements
Required Qualifications
  • In-depth experience with SharePoint technologies
    , including:
    • SharePoint Server (2013, 2016, 2019)
    • SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365)
    • Migration tools such as Share Gate, Metalogix
      , or similar
  • Strong experience managing and configuring SharePoint infrastructure
    , including:
    • Windows Servers
    • SharePoint farms and databases
    • Network components (load balancers, firewalls, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint and M365 security
    , including:
    • Security policies and procedures
    • Network/firewall configurations
    • Certificates and access controls
  • Experience with SharePoint development frameworks and the Microsoft Power Platform
  • Proven ability to:
    • Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies
    • Support high‑availability, enterprise‑level SharePoint environments
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills across SharePoint performance, configurations, and integrations
  • Strong proficiency in Power Shell
    , including:
    • Automation of SharePoint administrative tasks
    • Experience with PnP Power Shell module
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor and support team members
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting large‑scale, enterprise SharePoint environments
  • Additional experience with workflow automation tools such as Nintex or Formstack
  • Experience driving adoption of modern workplace tools and technologies
