Senior Accessibility & Compliance Analyst

Job Title

Accessibility Business Analyst – State of Texas – Austin, TX (Onsite)

• Collaborate with ITS Leadership and the Agency Accessibility Coordinator on accessibility projects to meet compliance with Federal, State, and agency procedures, policies, rules, and laws including DOJ ADA Title II.
• Analyze web content for accessibility and recommend changes to make content accessible.
• Participate in testing efforts and provide testing results to the Agency Accessibility Coordinator.
• Collaborate with the Agency Accessibility Coordinator on preliminary accessibility assessments with internal and external partners to include testing/validation and complete coordinating reports.

• 13+ years total experience in accessibility.
• Strong experience with digital content and Electronic Information Resources.
• Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA knowledge and experience.
• Knowledge of Texas Administrative Code, Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) EIR Accessibility Policy, and WCAG 2.1.
• Knowledge of industry best practices for accessibility services for digital content and EIR (brochures, flyers, webpages, documents, forms, and training materials).
• Experience assessing web content and other EIR for compliance with accessibility standards and performing remediation analysis.
• Experience with EIR testing and validation practices and methodology to confirm compliance.
• Experience identifying functional and technical requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation with a strong attention to detail.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite of tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, SharePoint).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Awareness or knowledge of DFPS systems and programs (preferred).
