A solutions architect in AWS helps accelerate the adoption of Amazon Web Services for education technology customers. This role blends technical design, customer engagement, and thought leadership to enable cloud‑based solutions that meet business goals.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic technical account plan for platform adoption, establishing relationships with technical stakeholders.
  • Engage customers to qualify and validate sales opportunities, conducting architecture meetings and validating solutions.
  • Deliver thought‑leadership engagements to evangelize and advocate for AWS, speaking at customer and partner events.
  • Document and share best practices, creating public whitepapers, blogs, and code as references for accelerated deployments.
  • Enable customers and partners through technical workshops and immersion days.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to inform future evolution of the AWS platform.
  • Basic Qualifications
    • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructure.
    • 4+ years of experience in a specific technology domain such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data, or analytics.
    • 10+ years of IT development or consulting experience in the software or internet industries.
    • Ability to travel 25-30% of the time.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in software development or internet-related industries.
    • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
    • Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev‑ops perspective.
    • Strong technical presentation skills, including whiteboard and group presentations.
    • Operational experience with website or service operations, management, and security.

    Salary & Benefits

    US, TX, Austin – $131,300 to $177,600 annual. US, WA, Seattle – $131,300 to $177,600 annual. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, parental leave, and other comprehensive programs.
