Sr. Data Scientist, Enterprise Security Products
Job : | Services LLC
Amazon Enterprise Security Products is a newly launched, cloud‑agnostic security tools group built on AI‑first development practices. In this role, you will design and deploy machine‑learning models to detect threats, power intelligent agents, and make security decisions at cloud scale. You will collaborate closely with SDEs, applied scientists, security researchers and PMs on a fast‑moving team where the best idea wins.
Key Job Responsibilities- Build the intelligence behind AI‑first security products: design, train, and ship ML models that power anomaly detection, threat classification, automated response, and other agentic systems across multi‑cloud environments.
- Own the full science lifecycle—from problem framing and data exploration to model development, evaluation, production deployment, and monitoring. You build, ship, and run the solutions.
- Use agentic coding tools and LLM‑powered workflows to accelerate every phase of work, from EDA to feature engineering to model iteration.
- Develop agentic architectures, including models, embeddings, RAG pipelines, evaluation frameworks, and feedback loops that make multi‑agent security systems smart, safe, and customer‑ready.
- Prototype rapidly and validate with customers, turning hypotheses into prototypes in days rather than quarters.
- Partner across disciplines to turn ambiguous problems into shipped solutions, leveraging short decision lines in a small team.
- Communicate impactfully, translating complex modeling results into clear recommendations for engineers, product leaders, and senior executives.
- Raise the science bar by contributing to technical and science reviews, mentoring teammates, and championing AI‑first development practices.
- 6+ years of experience with data querying languages such as SQL, scripting languages such as Python, or statistical/mathematical software such as R, SAS, or Matlab.
- 5+ years of data scientist experience.
- Experience with statistical models, e.g. multinomial logistic regression.
- 2+ years of data visualization experience using tools such as AWS Quick Sight, Tableau, or R Shiny.
- Experience managing data pipelines.
- Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team.
