Electronics Technician

Our client, a leading technology organization, is seeking an Electronics Technician (General) 2 to join their team. As an Electronics Technician (General) 2, you will be part of the Hardware Validation Department supporting the Silicon Validation team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent teamwork and communication abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Austin, TX

What's the Job?

• Configure and maintain test hardware and infrastructure across multiple mobile, desktop, and server systems.
• Keep systems operational, up to date, and hardware components swapped out as needed to support project schedules.
• Perform hardware setup, installation, and troubleshooting of processors, memory, storage devices, and peripherals.
• Use diagnostic tools such as protocol analyzers and oscilloscopes to identify and resolve hardware issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system bring-up and validation processes.

What's Needed?

• 0-2 years of PC validation or hardware testing experience.
• Knowledge of MS and Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and testing.
• Comfortable working with Linux command line and BIOS settings.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, especially in regression testing.
• Understanding of PC architecture, including subsystems like memory, buses, and processors.
