Sr ServiceNow Application Development Engineer, Ops Tech Solutions

As a member of the Ops Tech Solutions application development team for Service Now, you will be at the forefront of IT service delivery, collaborating across Ops Tech Solutions infrastructure and services teams. You will be surrounded by people who are passionate about optimizing IT services and believes that world-class service is critical to customer success. You will work across all internal teams to drive tooling and process improvements to ensure a high quality, fast resolution customer experience.

Your mission is to develop a world-class customer experience and set new customer service standards in IT Delivery.

Ops Tech Solutions is looking for experienced and dedicated team members to help manage the administration, maintenance, and development of the Service Now platform for the organization. The ideal candidate is innovative and has great problem-solving skills. You must be very comfortable working on core application administration, creating workflows, data management, scripting and process automation. You will need to work with non-technical and technical teams to translate business cases to scalable solutions for multiple teams.

In addition, you'll need to be able to clearly and effectively communicate to larger non-technical audiences on system changes and enhancements. You will be working in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. You must be flexible and adapt well to a wide range of tasks and technologies.

Key job responsibilities

The Service Now App Dev Engineer will contribute and provide leadership to the following core team areas of focus:

* Perform technical administration and maintenance of Service Now IT Business Management.

* Partner with cross functional teams to build enhancements and integrations that scale.

* Create Service Now workflows and business rules for service improvements.

* Interface with Service Now for all operational requests / issues / planning.

* Lead Service Now release upgrades including technical and stakeholder management activities.

* Work closely with Software Development Engineers to coordinate system updates, patches, and configuration changes.

* Provide user training related to Service Now processes, policies and procedures.

* Mentor team members on project planning, design, and estimating activities in Service Now IT Business Management.

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent

* Certified Service Now Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD) certifications required.

* 6+ years of direct experience with the Service Now platform as an administrator, developer and/or comparable role.

* 6+ years direct experience working with customers to understand requirements and implementing information technology solutions / initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with Agile engineering practices (Kanban, continuous delivery, etc.)

* Experience in HTML, CSS, or Java Script

* Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making, or experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MS Power Query, Python)

* Experience working with REST API based services, or experience with REST web services, XML, JSON

* Experience building features in Service Now ITSM and HAM…
