Power BI Developer (Transitioning from WebFOCUS to Power BI)

Skills & Qualifications

Experience:
- 6+ years of experience as a BI developer, including significant experience in WebFOCUS.
- 4+ years of experience working with Power BI or strong familiarity with Power BI tools.
- Proven experience migrating or transitioning from one BI platform to another (e.g., WebFOCUS to Power BI).
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Power BI report design, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), and Power Query.
- Strong SQL skills for querying relational databases and performing data transformations.
- Experience with data modeling techniques and creating reusable datasets.
- Familiarity with other BI tools and technologies, particularly WebFOCUS, is preferred.
- Knowledge of integrating data from diverse sources, including SQL Server, Azure, Excel, and other third-party services.
Business Intelligence:
- Experience designing and deploying interactive, user-friendly BI reports and dashboards.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data into actionable insights.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft Power BI Certification is a plus.
Experience working in Agile environments or with Dev Ops processes.
Knowledge of advanced analytics, including predictive modeling or machine learning techniques, is a plus.
