Graphics Architect, Platform Architecture
As part of the GPU Platform Architecture team, you will be working with architecture, design and software partners on the definition & tuning of Appleʼs future GPU Programmable Shader Core. Your role will involve extending and modifying the architecture, including the instruction set for the Shader Core. You will contribute to the development of prototype software implementations for simulated future hardware, gathering data and measurements to validate or invalidate these concepts.
DescriptionIn this highly visible role, you will be at the center of a chip design effort working with all disciplines, with a critical impact on getting high performance products to millions of customers quickly.
Minimum Qualifications- Experience GPU, CPU, DSP or ISP architecture
- Software experience in C/C++, XSL, and a scripting language such as Python or Ruby
- 20+ years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with simulation environments
- Ability to take ideas from concept to C/C++ simulator implementation
- Experience working as part of large cross-functional teams
- Ability to clearly communicate complex issues
- Self-motivated and well-organized
