Responsibilities- Provide leadership and expertise in project management across large‑scale IT initiatives.
- Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring completion within scope, time, and cost.
- Develop and maintain project documentation: schedules, budgets, risk and issue logs, communications plans, quality control procedures, and lessons learned.
- Act as the primary contact between project teams and stakeholders, facilitating communication, conflict resolution, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with HHS project policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.
- Analyze and mitigate project risks and challenges.
- Coordinate project controls, reporting, and audit activities for the IT Project Management Office (PMO).
- Support program evaluation and share best practices across HHS agencies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; graduation from a four‑year college or university is required.
- Preferred certifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI‑ACP), Certified Agile Scrum Master (CSM), and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE). - Experience leading complex IT projects using both waterfall and agile principles.
- Knowledge of HHS IT policies, state and federal regulations, and the Texas legislative process.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple overlapping priorities and work independently.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and available for onsite work in Austin, TX.
Salary range: $4,801.16 – $6,504.16 per month (monthly pay, full‑time, non‑exempt).
