Summary:Serves as a senior-level Business Systems Analyst responsible for understanding business objectives, identifying solutions, and improving system functionality.Works closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to analyze, design, test, and implement system enhancements.Performs cost/benefit analysis, evaluates system capabilities, and ensures solutions align with organizational standards and constraints.Acts as a key liaison throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring effective communication and high-quality deliverables.
Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering (30%)Conduct detailed requirements gathering sessions with non-technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).Analyze current business processes, identify gaps, and recommend system improvements.Develop use cases, process flows, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation.Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for system development.Evaluate alternative solutions and perform cost/benefit analysis.
Design & Standards Compliance (5%)Ensure system design and enhancements comply with HHSC and DIR standards.Review system capabilities, specifications, and constraints to assess feasibility.
Testing & Quality Assurance (25%)Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, and test data.Validate system functionality, identify defects, and support debugging efforts.Ensure applications meet quality, performance, and maintainability standards.
Communication & Reporting (25%)Provide regular status updates on enhancement progress and issue resolution.Communicate critical system issues to leadership in a timely manner.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, DBAs, and project managers.Present technical and functional information to both technical and non-technical audiences.Maintain updates in ticketing systems (e.g., Azure Dev Ops).
Knowledge Transfer & Documentation (15%)Create and maintain system documentation, including architecture diagrams and workflows.Facilitate knowledge sharing to prevent single points of failure.Support training and onboarding through documentation and group sessions.Recommend implementation strategies and improvements to leadership.- ** Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.**
