Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced SQL Data Warehouse DBA to support the design, administration, optimization, and maintenance of enterprise data warehouse environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database administration, data warehousing, data modeling, ETL processes, performance tuning, security, and disaster recovery. This role requires hands‑on experience with enterprise databases, reporting tools, and data integration technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database management systems.
- Design, develop, and support enterprise data warehouse and data mart solutions.
- Perform logical and physical data modeling, database design, and schema management.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies.
- Develop and maintain database security controls, user access, backup, and recovery procedures.
- Support ETL processes, data integration, and data population activities.
- Create and maintain data dictionaries, database documentation, standards, and procedures.
- Assist with database migrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery planning.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and implement database solutions.
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide production support.
- 5+ years of database administration and data warehouse experience.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, or similar enterprise databases.
- Experience with data warehouse architecture, data marts, and decision support systems.
- Expertise in data modeling, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and normalized data models.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, IBM Data Stage, or similar platforms.
- Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Business Objects, Cognos, Hyperion, or Micro Strategy.
- Strong SQL development, database design, and performance tuning skills.
- Experience creating and maintaining data dictionaries and metadata repositories.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Oracle Database Administration experience.
- SSRS report development experience.
- M204 database experience.
- Experience supporting accessibility standards (EIR Accessibility).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
Candidates must currently reside in Texas and be local to the Austin area. Pre‑employment security review required.
