Job Description: IT Support Technician
Location: Austin, Texas (Onsite)
Role OverviewWe are seeking IT Support Technicians for a high-impact, large-scale technology deployment project. This fast-paced, hands‑on role involves supporting the installation, troubleshooting, and post-launch stabilization of over 2,000 devices. This is an opportunity to gain project experience in a dynamic, customer‑focused environment. Candidates must be able to start with minimal ramp‑up time in a setting with no tolerance for delays.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, and support desktop, laptop, and peripheral devices.
- Provide hands‑on hardware and software troubleshooting for both Mac and Windows environments.
- Offer technical support via in‑person, email, and ticketing systems.
- Monitor and manage incident queues to ensure timely resolution within established SLA parameters.
- Assist with software installations, updates, and security compliance.
- Provide rapid-response support for post‑launch issues during the hypercare phase.
- Contribute to technical knowledge articles and documentation.
Experience:
1–3 years of experience in IT Support, Help Desk, Desktop Support, or Field Technician roles. Experience in enterprise environments with high‑volume ticketing systems is required.
- Hands‑on hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Active Directory and Office 365.
- Ability to support both Mac and Windows operating systems.
- Strong customer‑facing communication skills.
- Experience working within SLAs or ticket queues.
- Previous experience with device deployment, rollouts, or new site launches.
- Experience with hypercare or post-go‑live support.
- Basic knowledge of AWS or other cloud infrastructure environments.
- Familiarity with Mac OS file structure and terminal basics.
