Work Location:
Must work from an HHS office in Austin, TX 3 or more days per week.
- Daily operational support of SharePoint, including user access, permissions management, site creation, content migrations, development of new site features, and user training.
- Lead the SharePoint Support team, overseeing activities of other team members and escalating issues as appropriate (40%).
- Create a customer‑service environment and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of employees and internal/external stakeholders.
- Serve as subject‑matter expert for evaluation and deployment of new SharePoint sites, Microsoft 365 features, upgrades, and third‑party solutions; participate in Agile and Scrum activities (20%).
- Provide emergency and after‑hour support as needed (including on‑call duties).
- Complete other job duties as required (5%).
Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule; performs other duties as assigned. Provides escalation and user training; ensures help desk tickets are handled per agency guidelines.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities- Proficiency in SharePoint Online/M365.
- Managing permissions, user access, and security groups.
- Migrating data from traditional file shares and within SharePoint sites.
- Knowledge of Power Platform canvas apps and Power Automate flows.
- Understanding of security standards, Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
- Power Shell scripting for automation, reporting, and maintenance.
- Diagnose and solve user issues, performance bottlenecks, and system errors.
- Explain technical concepts to non‑technical users and document processes.
- Stay current with evolving Microsoft 365 features.
- Provide consultation and training to end‑users and power users.
- Graduation from a four‑year college with major coursework in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- Minimum six (6) years of IT experience, specifically in SharePoint Administration.
- Microsoft 365 Certified:
Teamwork Administrator Associate (preferred). - Prior experience supporting SharePoint for HHSC or the State of Texas (preferred).
